Kyle had a really hard year with his teacher last year. One day he came home with a pink slip for "playing in the mud at recess" I thought to myself..... Kyle's school went to Veterans Park today for a back to school party. The kids had a great time swimming. Kyle's school is turning out to be pretty fun, with potlucks in the park, pool parties and backpacking trips to the Uintas and Zion Natnl Park (for the older kids). I think he's going to like it!

Today is Kael's special "pee-pee day!" I wish I had a video of when I first showed him all of the treats, his eyes lit up and he said "Oh WOW!!" Potty training is terrible... the worst part is that you can't go anywhere! The other day I forgot that Kael was wearing underwear and we went to walmart. We were looking at kitchen stuff and then Kael said. "Uh oh, I peed. I'm such a baby." Poor thing,

The kids were soaked in paint so I would not let them in the house (they both snuck in, and Kael managed to wipe his little hands on the curtains, and Kyle opened one of the cupboards with paint drenched fingers, little stinkers). We had to get clean somehow, the best option seemed to be to hose off, strip down, and head straight for the shower. We got Kael clean first and then he went after Kyle

We got a new washing machine, so when the box came through the door, the kids and I immediately thought, "house." But then the box was too ripped to make a house out of so I decided we should paint murals. Here's the beautiful result: P.S. In case you’re wondering crayola washable paint washes off very well from concrete, clothes and carpet.... not so well off of my curtains.

Sometimes I hear myself speaking and catch myself... that sounded just like my mom. This morning while I was cleaning up breakfast I heard Kyle, "You stay in the corner puppy until you can tell the truth." The kids and I went up to idaho for a few days last week... the highligts of the trip were riding the tractor with Todd and Bear World.I always love to go up there... makes me want to stay though. Hopefully someday.

Everyday the kids have to do one "special chore" basically it's anything I want them to do that day. Kyle's special chore today was watering the new plants that Kendall and I (mostly Kendall) planted a couple of days ago. He wholeheartedly enjoyed it.

Kendall and I got to go on a date last night to celebrate graduating from nursing school, it was so fun to get out and go see State of Play,try out a new resturaunt and have the house to ourselves while the kids spent the night with grandpa. Can you believe it? Kyle graduated from preschool, he got the "best builder" award! and I FINALLY graduated from nursing school!I said we becuase well, both Kyle and I graduated, but also the MANY people who have helped us during this time!(Kendall, both sets of grandparents, sister in laws, friends, fellow students, my brothers.... and more!)

Yesterday Kyle yelled while in the shower, "Mom, I need my umbrella," to which I replied "I'm not giving you an umbrella in the shower." Today Kyle told me that he wants a motorcycle, so I told him that Grandpa has a motorcycle for him that he can ride as soon as he learns to ride a bike without training wheels. Kyle loves to push Kael around in the stroller. He found out it's a little harder in the grass.Oops... almost a tipover. It wouldn't be the first time Kael has taken a fall from the stroller, poor kid has had to be tough from day 1 with Kyle for an older brother.

Kyle's actually able to sing the whole song now. SO cute! We got some carmel apples on our trip to Salt Lake and brought them home to share with the kids. I had a little cake but we decided to just light up the apple and sing.By the way, we had a great time over the weekend! Thanks again mom and dad for taking the kids.

The ATI is done... my big NCLEX predictor test! and I passed! I was so lucky to have my mom here to watch the kids and take care of my sick little guy (kyle). They are having a good time now though, they made a huge pan of rice krispy treats and worked on their colors and numbers. She bought them each a new workbook, and in Kael's she told him to circle all of the cars that were the same color
